{Super Mario Bros. Birthday Party}

This last weekend we had a Super Mario Bros. Birthday for my oldest son, Thatcher.
Right now is OBSESSED with EVERYTHING Mario.
So of course he chose Super Mario for his birthday theme.
I was excited to get busy...and busy I did get...

Here are the invitations that we gave to his cute friends.

The Super Mario Birthday Banner.
Happy 5th Birthday Thatcher

The Cupcakes...
They were yummy.
The toppers were cute.

The table-scape.
I filled buckets found at Target in the party colors
with Goldfish and "Green Chips" (Sour Cream & Onion)
Both Thatcher's favs.

The Mario themed party plates, cups, etc. I got at

The pinata and perfect cloud balloons, which fit right in with the theme,
I also ordered from Birthday Express.

The gift bags for the kiddos.
They were filled with play-dough, bubbles, jumbo balloon balls, stickers, and M&M's.

We played two party games.
Pin the Mustache on Mario.
Mario Bingo.

The kids made English Muffin Pizzas.
They got to pick their toppings.
They ALL chose pepperoni.

The boys all got Mario visors.
I got the red foam visors at Michaels,
and cut the M's out of white
felt with sticky back with my Cricut.

The girls got gold crowns, just like Princess Peach!

The birthday boy enjoying his cake...

Being very careful what string to pull...

It was such a fun party to put together.
And most importantly the Birthday Boy and the guests all had fun.

Thanks to my good friend who is THE best Photographer I know.
She took all the amazing pics for this party.

  1. Such a fun party! I'm so glad we got to be a part of it. Great job on all the details.

  2. Such a GREAT party! You are so creative My son wants a mario party for his 5th and I saw yours featured on Tip Junkie while researching. I was having trouble downloading the bingo and pin the mustache on Mario from that site? Is there any way you would be willing to share those files on your blog?

  3. Sorry - it was executive homemaker blog not tip junkie. Anyways, great party! I am sure your son was on top of the world with all the details.

  4. Love this party. Very cute blog. I'm your newest follower. I'd would be thrilled if you would link it up to my link party: http://phubie.blogspot.com/2011/01/link-party-showcase-parties-for-boys.html

  5. There are giant wall decals with Mario and his kart on them. Latex balloons come in bright red and blue...just like Super Mario himself and there are also racing style balloons too..Check out Mario Kart Party Supplies for all your party supplies and party ideas!

  6. I would really love to include some of this on my Mario Party Ideas page here
particularly the pin the moustache on Mario photo. I'd also love to share your idea on the princess tiara's for girls.
I'd make sure to credit and link back here.
I hope to hear from you soon regarding permission. You can reach me at pipgerard@gmail.com
